There is no on-line pre-registration. Everyone must register onsite. There is early onsite registration the day before the start of the con, on Thursday, at the Alexis Park.

Foreign nationals: we will only issue Letters of Invitation to accepted speakers. If you are not invited to speak at DEF CON, please do not ask for a Letter of Invitation.

REGISTRATION will be in the Apollo Foyer.

General FAQ

If you wish to obtain audio or video of the speaking sessions, professionally recorded audio and video tapes are available from The Sound of Knowledge. Look for their table in the vendor area or order from them on-line after the show (you get a nice discount for ordering tapes onsite during the show). Past material is also available from them.

The Alexis Park Hotel and Resort is across the street from the Hard Rock Hotel, and is a block off the main strip. Located at 375 East Harmon Ave in Las Vegas, NV 89109. The Alexis Park is a non gambling hotel, so people 18 years and older can get a room there.

For DEF CON 11, to be on the hotel property you MUST have a DC 11 badge. This is a requirement of the hotel to cut down on locals just "passing through", and causing problems.

Toll-free reservation line 1-800-582-2228. You must call in order to make reservations- online booking is NOT available for the con. You must tell them you are attending DEF CON in order to book a room.

McCarran International Airport is the closest and most convenient airport. Taxis are readily available for hire.
